Aufgrund der Corona-Auflagen findet die Jahrestagung des Instituts für Glaube und Wissenschaft dieses Jahr als Online-Konferenz (in englischer Sprache, ohne deutsche Übersetzung) über die Software Zoom statt.


Introduction

Isn’t it ancient superstition, when people in our modern world still believe that Jesus is God? The Swedish theologian Stefan Gustavsson is convinced of the opposite: faith in Jesus is as relevant and as reasonable as ever before! But don’t Christian views about sexuality presuppose a false view of human beings? We will take a differentiated look at the promises and outcomes of the sexual revolution which started in Sweden, and compare this to a biblical view of flourishing sexuality. But aren’t the texts of the New Testament just inventions? Gustavsson will share with us from his expertise on the reliability of the gospels. And of course, there will be time for Q&A after each talk!

The talks will be in English language. Stefan Gustavsson is an experienced international speaker. We look forward to discuss these questions with you, whether you believe in Jesus or are sceptical or just want to know more…

Einleitung

Können moderne Menschen immer noch glauben, dass Jesus Gott ist? Ist das nicht antiker Aberglaube? Der schwedische Theologe Stefan Gustavsson ist vom Gegenteil überzeugt: der Glaube an Jesus Christus hat nichts von seiner Relevanz eingebüßt und kann gut begründet werden. Aber gehen nicht die Ansichten der Christen über Sexualität von einem völlig falschen Menschenbild aus? Unser Referent wird mit uns einen differenzierten Blick auf die sexuelle Revolution und ihre Auswirkungen werfen, die in Schweden ihren Ausgangspunkt nahm, und uns zeigen, wie sich die Bibel das Aufblühen menschlicher Sexualität vorstellt. Aber sind die Texte des Neuen Testaments nicht frei erfunden worden? Gustavsson hat sich eingehend mit der historischen Zuverlässigkeit der Evangelien befasst.

Die Vorträge sind in englischer Sprache. Stefan Gustavsson ist ein erfahrener internationaler Referent und spricht ein gut verständliches Englisch. Wir freuen uns, mit Ihnen ins Gespräch zu kommen, egal ob Sie sich als Christ bezeichnen würden oder einfach an den Themen interessiert sind.

Stefan Gustavsson
... is the director of Apologia – Centre for Christian Apologetics and Professor at the Gimlekollen School of Journalism and Communication in Kristiansand (Norway), living in Stockholm. He was the founding General Secretary for the Swedish Evangelical Alliance and is a member of the European Leadership Forum Steering Committee. Stefan travels widely with apologetic teaching and training and is often involved in university evangelism and public debates. He is the author of several books on Christian apologetics and the Christian mind. Stefan is married to Ingrid and they have three grown children.

... ist Direktor von Apologia, „Center för Kristet Apologetik“ (Zentrum für christliche Apologetik) in Stockholm und ehemaliger Generalsekretär der Schwedischen Evangelischen Allianz. Außerdem ist er Professor an der Gimlekollen School of Journalism and Communication in Kristiansand (Norwegen). Gustavsson ist Gründungsmitglied im Steering Committee des European Leadership Forum und gefragter Referent und Diskutant zu Fragen christlicher Apologetik. Er ist verheiratet und hat drei erwachsene Kinder. In Deutschland ist er bekannt durch sein Buch „Kein Grund zur Skepsis – acht Gründe für die Glaubwürdigkeit der Evangelien“.
